New FAQ on What is the interaction of legislated disclosure requirements and disclosure requirements in Standards of GRAP?

There are instances where legislation requires entities to disclose information similar to what may be required by the Standards of GRAP. For example, information about investments and cash balances, management remuneration, tangible assets, transfers of functions, etc.

Entities need to ensure that they comply with legislation and the Standards of GRAP. Materiality is considered for information required by the Standards of GRAP. Entities should analyse the specific requirements of legislation to establish whether materiality can be applied. The information need not be repeated where the information disclosed is the same.
